Science Fair.......

So this year Addie and Koleman BOTH wanted to do the science fair. For Addie's project she baked marbles at 500 degrees for 20 minutes, and then right after they come out of the oven you dump them in ice water, and they crystalize inside. It looks really cool. Koleman did a light stick experiment where he saw what happens when you put light sticks in ice water and hot water. In the ice water it slows down the chemical reaction and makes the light really dim. In the hot water it speeds up the reaction and the light stick gets very bright very fast.
Anyways, Addie really wanted to win a place so when we got to the fair and she didn't win anything she was pretty sad. Then to make it worse for her Koleman comes over wearing his big huge SECOND place ribbon!!!! He got SECOND!!! It was hard to play it down for Addie's sake, but she ended up being ok. We are just so proud of both of them for doing it!!!
