Baptism Preview

We had Addie's baptism preview last week, unfortunately on Koleman's Birthday. But it was such a neat experience. They talked to the kids about what being Baptized is all about and how they need to prepare. Then they split the boys and girls up so they could talk to them about cub scouts and activity days.
I just can't believe that she is going to be 8 this year. She is such an amazing little girl and is so excited to be baptized. I am one VERY blessed mom!! I LOVE my kids so much and am so very proud of them.

Before we went to the meeting, Grandma and Grandpa gave Addie this neat book for her Baptism.

My mom hadn't done her hair yet, and Addie walks in and says "Holy Hair do!!"

I have been sick and, Koleman was playing with the thermometer, and I asked him if he would take my temprature, and he says, "No, this is just for men."

We were driving in the car and Koleman says, "Oh this is the new song So What." (The song I really hate by Pink) I was like "How did you know that?" and he says "It's on kidz bop 15".

I really wonder sometimes.......

Addie: "Mom can I paint your toe nails?"
Me: "Probably tommorow I need to wash my feet first."
Addie: "Promise?"
Me: " I promise"
Addie: "Can I get that on paper?"

Wednesday February 18th 2009
We went to Grandpa's work for a minute. Koleman asks Grandpa for a quarter for the candy machine. Grandpa says "sure!", Koleman turns to me and says, "I told you mom", then walks over to this button on Grandpa's desk that says easy and if you push it it says "That was easy." So Koleman knowing what it says pushes it.

Koleman comes to me and says, "My abodmen hurts."

Addie: "Mom, what is a good rock song?"
Me: "What do you mean?"
Addie: "You know, not like twinkle little star, it's cute and all but I need something new."

Thursday February 26th 2009
Koleman and Addie were already in bed and Koleman got up to go to the bathroom, and Addie's clothes were on the floor from when she got in the bathtub. I hear Koleman (who is onry as a bear mind you), say "High School Musical underpants, YUCK!!!" Then I see the underwear fly out of the bathroom door...

Koleman yells, "Mom can you give me a hand?!"

Koleman says something to me that I couldn't understand, so I was just like ya uh huh and he says, "Mom I wasn't stating a sentence, I was asking you a question!!"

Koleman: "According to my almanac the moon is crescent shaped tonight."

Me: Koleman how many tens go into 120?
Koleman: 12
Me: How many tens go into 140?
Koleman: That's a tricky one but it's 14!

Addie: "MOM! We had an asseminy (assembly) today!"

My mom took Addie and Koleman to the dollar store and bought them some sunglasses. When they walked out of the store Addie with her sunglasses on yells, "Hello New York!!" I don't know where they get this stuff.

Addie: "Mom what's your favorite animal?"
Me: "Probably a dog."
Addie: "Oh, mine's Koleman!"
Me: "Koleman?"
Addie: "Ya, he is crazy!!!"

Saturday March 28th 2009
We are reading our Scriptures about the part where Korihor was trampled to death and Koleman says, "Now they have to put him in the ground and put the rip sign over it."

Monday April 6th 2009
Me: "Koleman go get in the bathtub."
Koleman: "No, I'm a teenager and teenagers don't listen to their parents."

I AM IN BIG TROUBLE!!!!!!

Wednesday May 13th 2009
We were watching to see who would be in the finals of American Idol. And we don't like Adam very much so when they announced his name we were all booing and stuff. Well Koleman wanting to get a rise out of us yells, "Go Adam, rock on!" I was like, "hey we wanted Danny, not Adam" and Koleman goes, " I know I was just doing that for emotional affect!!"

Saturday July 25th 2009
Mom: "Koleman you can't eat your dinner out side of the kitchen!! Come back in here please!"
Koleman: "What difference does it make!! Food is Food!"

MONDAY SEPTEMBER 28TH 2009
Addie: "Koleman if we had a baby sister what would you want her name to be?"
Koleman: "ummmm Abigail but I would call her honey bunch."

Saturday October 17th 2009
Addie had a sleepover and she comes home and says, " We had noodles for dinner, spaghettios for lunch, and cereal for breakfast. Next time they ask me to sleep over I'm going to ask what they are having for dinner first."

Monday Nov. 9, 2009
The kids have SEP's this week and the kindergartners didn't have school monday or tuesday. Tuesday night I tell Koleman he needs to go get in bed because he has school in the morning. He starts complaining about having to go back to school, and Addie pipes up and says, "Now you can feel my pain!".

September 18, 2010
Koleman says to Maddy (Addie's best friend) "Hello honey bunch, did you know we are going to get married someday?"

September 28, 2010
Addie: "Mom you sure look nice today"
Me: "Thanks Ad"
Addie: " No but really you look really nice."
Me: "Addie what do you want?"
Addie: "Maddy to sleep over."
Me: "Not tonight.:
Addie (mumbling under her breath as she walks out of the room): "I need a new plan."

October 24, 2010
We were reading scriptures. After Kevin asks the kids to tell him the miracles that Jesus performed. Koleman says, "People had evil spirits in their bodies, so Jesus made the evil spirits go out of them into wild pigs."
This boy knows way more than his poor mother!!

November 4, 2010
Koleman: "Mom do you know how to measure the circumference of a cylinder?"
Me: "No, how do you?"
Koleman: "Why do I always have to explain everything to you?"

October 30, 2010
Koleman: "I know Maddy is just playing hard to get, secretly she really wants to give me a kiss on the cheek."

November 2010
Koleman has a calculator and is writing out all of these different math problems. I ask him what he is doing. He says, "I am trying to figure out the quantum physics of how to secretly get Addie and Maddy's Zhu Zhu pets from them to trick them."
WHAT????? I need a dictionary just to talk to him sometimes!
