One AMAZING man!

My precious little 96 year old Grandpa had a stroke about a month ago. He was healthy as an ox almost his whole life until the last month. I remember him coming to visit us in our Pleasant Grove house he was probably like 84 or so and he was playing baseball with us and all the neighborhood kids showing us all up. I also remember going to a family reunion in Arizona at a cabin. They had a trampoline there and there is our 87 year old Grandpa out there jumping with all of the little kids!! His whole life was devoted to service and church work. After his stroke he dwindled slowy each day. We thought several times that he would pass away and then he would show us all and would keep on going. In fact one day last week we thought for sure he wasn't going to make it through the night, he hadn't had anything to eat or drink for 3 days. Well he was staying with my Uncle Walt and Aunt Rosie. They so self-lessly took care of him through all of this. Their daughter Sonya, was going to Sonic and asked if anyone wanted anything from there. Well little Grandpa piped up and said he wanted onion rings and a milkshake!!! Well of course he couldn't eat onion rings, but Sonya got him a milkshake and he ate HALF of it which was more than he had eaten in a week!! So anyways, this past week he didn't eat anyting or drink anything all week. My uncle Walt said he probably withered away to 60 lbs. He wasn't responsive to anyone and had glazed over eyes. Late Friday night at about 11:00 we got a call from Uncle Walt saying that he had passed away. He was such an example to all and so giving of his time. Everyone who knew him absolutely LOVED him. He was one strong amazing man.He worked his WHOLE life up until his stroke!! Emily went down and stayed with them when she went to Loren's Border Patrol Graduation, and my Grandpa got up the day before he had his stroke and made everyone pancakes! He also made the BEST enciladas!! I am so grateful my kids got to meet him before he died. He will truly be missed. I love you Grandpa!!!
